Birthday Shout Out to Kenzie Girl

When I was very young, I remember begging my parents for a baby sister.  I imagined all of the fun things we would do together, and how lovely it would be to be a big sister.  I remember how hurt I felt as I realized that would probably never happen.  I continued to beg.   After a few years, I came to the conclusion that after my mother had given birth all three of my older brothers, and then me, making our family complete... No matter how much I wanted a baby sister, it just was not going to happen.  I was giving up.  I had to deal with the fact that my parents were not going to have any more children... Until quite a few years later when McKenzie joined our family.  She was definitely a surprise, but a very much wanted and loved surprise.  My wish had come true!  Although there is a slightly large gap between us in age, we were, and have stayed really close as sisters, and as friends. Our family needed her to make us fully complete, and I know that it is a blessing that she decided to join us when she did, even though the timing may have seemed a little bit off.  Now I realize the timing couldn't have been any better. I think of how lonely my parents would be without her and what they would be doing.  Just when they thought they had raised their youngest child almost completely through grade school...  They were able to do it all over again!  Hee hee.  I am so grateful that Heavenly Father sent a sister to me.   After all of those years with three older brothers, (of whom I am also very thankful for and love very much), picking on me, teasing me, and teaching me how to be a "tom- boy", I needed something a little bit sweeter... A baby sister.

Easter Sunday

We had a delightful Easter

We got up & got ready for church, headed to my parents house then to Jeff's parents house for dinner.
These two are so cute together, and they get along great!  Whenever they get together Coleman always wants to make Brynlie laugh at the funny things he does.  It's not a difficult thing for him to do, she loves him!  Kinda like when I'm the only one laughing at Jeff's jokes... Hee hee.  (He said that, not me)
Strike a pose Coleman
We each got to color a dozen eggs!  That means 36 eggs for our little fam... Jeff was getting pretty creative and made one of his eggs into a horse, ha ha.
We had another Egg Hunt at Jeff's parents house before dinner and they made it so fun!  We appreciate all they do for us.
"Looky what I found!"
Just relaxin in the sunshine...

Easter {Saturday}

My parents had such a fun Easter egg hunt for the little ones!  They always make the holidays so much fun, I love it!  We hunted for eggs outside and although it was raining we still had a good time...

None Were With Him

On Easter Sunday my Father in Law Randy showed us this video of Elder Holland's talk from Conference last week.  I had heard his talk and thought it was the perfect testimony of Our Savior, especially during this Easter Season.  There is just something about this video that touched me so much.  It is so amazing.
