.:Meet Hallie:.

She arrived on Tuesday, May 18th at 12:27pm
Weight ~ 7lbs 7oz
Length ~ 20 1/2in
This was taken just after we arrived at the hospital.
I"m getting all ready to meet the little lady.
Poor girl had some fluid in her lungs and had to have a little bit of help at first
Isn't the hat she is wearing so cute? One of the nurses made it for her

Here she is getting all gussied up to meet everyone

Here is Brynlie with Grandma Toni just checking things out, making sure her baby sis is okay.
Jeff & his girlies. Now a family of four.
My two precious girls
Little Miss B {aka} Proud Big Sister
Bryn has been super sweet to Hallie! She just adores her.
Because of these three, I just might be the happiest girl in all the land
Brynlie even got a new baby too
It really doesn't get much sweeter than this
We were able to come home from the hospital yesterday, and we are both doing great! It feels so good to be home. Little Hallie is so sweet. She really is the best baby, she rarely ever cries! We are so lucky to have another sweet little girl in our family. There is nothing quite like a newborn baby, a little piece of heaven on earth.

.: Just for Bryn :.

I love you little one...
I love that I get to be with you all day, everyday.
I love all of the silly little things you do.
You make me laugh all of the time!
I love that you have the best manners.
Always saying "Pease" and "Tank you" or "Tanks"
(Without being prompted to do so)
Even when daddy tells you that your shoes are too big your reply is "tank you daddy."
It's the cutest thing ever.
I love when I tell you to go to the mirror to see how pretty you look you get the
biggest smile
on your face and dance and play in front of the mirror.
I love how you always ask where I'm "goin?" and what I am "doin?"
and when you say "I want in yers bed"
You form the cutest little sentences!
Like when you want me to sit by you, and you say "Sit by you me?" or "By you Bryn?"
Or when you want me to hold you, you say "I want hold you"
Or when you can't quite decide what you want you say, "I want um... see... umm... I want... umm...let's see"
And "baby sidder comin? Yay!"
Or "baby sidder in my tummy"
Whenever someone rings the doorbell, you ask if baby sister is here...
I never want to forget how your sweet little voice sounds at this age.
I especially love the mornings when you lay by me in bed and give me lots and lots of kisses.
Over and over again.
And then you say, "I yuv you mommy"
I love when you lay on my lap and let me play with your hair...
and then you fall asleep.
I love rocking you to sleep
(yes, you still insist I rock you to sleep-I am too much of a softie not to)
and sing primary songs to you.
I love that you sing right along with me, and you know all of the words.
I love when you wake up in the mornings or from your nap you holler at me saying "Mommy?...Mama?...Mommy?...Mama" until I come to get you.
I am so happy that I am your mommy and that I have had the past two years
to just be with you.
To watch you learn and grow.
To see your sweet, yet sassy personality develop.
To laugh with you and cry with you.
I would not trade that for anything in this world.
You are my sweetie pie and I love you

Mothers Day Gift/Project

We made these canvas wall hangings to give our Mothers on their special day.
The hardest part was finding all of the pictures! I was worried at first about some of the pictures being too old/blurry/scratched, etc. but found that they add so much to the vintage/antique look I was going for. Changing them to sepia made them even better.
We just distressed the edges of each canvas and used spray adhesive to attach the pictures onto the small canvas, and the same to attach the small canvases to the larger one. The quote is vinyl and it is my favorite!

"The greatest trust that can come to a man and woman is the placing in their keeping the life of a little child."
-David O. Mckay

Mothers Day Bouquet

Here are the beautiful flowers that Brynlie and Jeff gave me for Mothers Day! Aren't they so pretty? All I can say is Jeff is one creative guy, thanks babe!
(A few of my favorite treats: Reeses, Sour Watermelons, Dove Chocolate, Orbit Gum and my favorite chapstick! Oh and the itunes giftcard!) Jeff also got me a few items I have been wanting for our kitchen and some new pillows! Now it feels like I am sleeping on a cloud... every pregnant woman could use more pillows!

Mother's Day

I am so thankful to be a Mother. It is the greatest blessing, and a wonderful feeling to have Brynlie call me her mommy. I am so grateful for my own Mother, Jeff's Mother and our Grandmothers. They have been great examples to me, have taught me so much and have all given me amazing advice.
I am thankful to have such wonderful women in my life!
I LOVE this thought...
Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on, pooped on, chewed on, or peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew how much I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes
to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,
the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much...
...before I was a Mom.

37 Weeks = Full Term

We decided to celebrate and make it a date night, so we went out to dinner and then headed to the movies! It was so good to spend some time together, just the two of us! It doesn't happen very often, and probably won't happen again for a little while. We definitely enjoyed our date night!
