Brynlie's First Week

The Princess has arrived!

Day 1
Brynlie arrived on Tuesday, February 12th at 7:48am
Since she was breech I had a C-Section. It only took the doctors about 3 minutes to get her out, and I was in the operating room for about 45 minutes is all!  What an easy way to have a baby! =) She came out weighing only 6lbs 10oz, and was 18 1/2 inches long.  Since both my Mom and Jeff's Mom both had really big babies, I was shocked when I found out how little she was!
So, since she was upside down in my tummy for 9 months or so, when she came out her legs were spread eagle!  I don't know exactly why, but from other people I talked to who have had breech babies all say that their legs are so funny when they come out!  Thankfully her legs are normal now, and she doesn't lay in this position any more! =)
We are so thankful that she arrived safely and that we are both doing so well!  We are grateful for a healthy and happy baby!

Day 2
Tiny little hands...

Day 3
Brynlie's first Valentines' Day!  I put some red bows in her hair to celebrate, and then my mother-in-law came to visit us and brought this adorable Valentines Day dress! It's a whole lot cuter than those long sleeved t-shirts she had been wearing!

Day 4
We were FINALLY able to go home on Friday, which I was so ready for! Here is a picture when we got home, she is so small in there!

Day 5
We gave Brynlie her first "bath" today!  She loves having her hair washed and combed!

This was after her bath... All dressed up!

Day 6
We had to take Brynlie back to the hosptial today for a jaundice test... It was so sad to  see her cry!
Day 7
Today Brynlie had her first Doctors appointment today to check her weight since she lost 10 ounces while she was in the hospital, our doctor was starting to worry!  Luckily over the weekend she gained a few more ounces, and her jaundice level went down!  Yay!  No more worrying!
So we made it through the first week...
