We are really excelling in this whole parenting business.

I successfully, but not easily, removed the first two pieces on my own... First a piece of corn and then a pea.  We took her to the after hours clinic just to be sure there wasn't anything else.  (She still sounded a little funny.)  Sure enough, after a few torturous attempts (poor girl) the doctor pulled out a piece of a carrot!  As he tried to calm her down he said, "It's okay, sweet pea."  No pun was intended, I am sure.
