.:Christmas Day:.

Since we had church at 9 on Christmas Morning, and our girls normally sleep in until that time, we just decided we would open our presents after church. The girls woke up and came to see what Santa had brought, and Bryn begged us to at least let them open their stockings...
Good morning sleepy heads
Their favorite Clementines
We got ready for church and let them open JUST ONE MORE...
(books to hopefully keep them entertained during Sacrament)
Brynlie doing her famous pose. I promise I didn't teach her to do that, in fact I didn't even encourage it :)
Our Stockings & Goodies
After church we came home and started opening some gifts
She wasn't too thrilled about this remote control car that we had picked out for them.
She even said "I don't like cars" She was pretty disappointed...
Until we told her how it worked, and that she could drive it around, then she was excited about it.
For some reason the girls were both REALLY grumpy while opening gifts, so we decided at about 11 to take a break and eat breakfast. After that they were happy again.
We do things a little different than most people. Instead of having lots of presents out in the open, Santa hides our gifts from him and makes us search for them. We look on the tree for a new ornament with our name on it, and then follow the clues... Hallie was first and Bryn helped her out.
Here is Hallie with her gift from Santa
Happy as can be
Here is Bryn, she found her ornament & clue!
Jeff read the clues and she would run and search for the next one.
She found another clue! Look at how excited she is!
I love watching their little minds work and figure things out...
Here is Bryn with her Santa gift
Just what she asked for, a sleeping beauty Barbie (or 2)
Trying out her new wheels
Basically the whole morning was spent going back and forth between these 2 toys.
Then Jeff and I opened our presents to each other...
And he found his ornament too!
It wasn't too cold outside so Brynlie tried out her new scooter
We had a visit from both my parents and Jeff's
Then we changed into our new clothes and headed to Grandpa & Grandma's house for dinner and gift exchange
Hallie got the cutest game, Mr. Bucket
Cute new shirts from Cam & Alexa
My 3 favorite people
Just goofin' off
I'm really glad Christmas was on a Sunday this year, in fact I think it should be that way every year! We had a great Christmas and all got very spoiled... It was a good Christmas this year!
